Karlštejn Castle. 1976

Karlštejn Castle (Hrad Karlštejn). Czechoslovakia. 1976

Karlštejni loss, Tšehhoslovakkia. 1976

Замок Карлштейн, Чехословакия. 1976

High Gothic castle founded in 1348. It was built by Czech King and Roman Emperor Charles IV as a place for safekeeping of the royal treasures, especially Charles's collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire. Located about 30 km southwest of Prague above the village named Karlštejn, it is one of the most famous and most frequently visited castles in the Czech Republic.

Czechoslovakia: now Czech Republic and Slovakia.

My collection.
